My wife and I have been trying to minimize our home’s utility bills as much as possible over the past few years, and the next big jump is solar panels. We’ll have to discuss whether batteries or the grid would be better for our situation before we get anything installed.

How will this affect the output performance of my inverter? Will it still work?

It makes sense you would want to have backup storage to fully enjoy solar electricity. I’ll let my dad know to ask once he finds a company to install the panels.
